Low threshold
When installing bi-folds many people opt for as little step between the inside and out as possible to give a seamless link. The Origin bi-folding doors can be installed with little or no threshold. For external doors, we would recommend a weathered threshold as it has a small lip to create a weather tight seal, the track can be sunk into the floor so it leaves a small upstand of under 1cm. Non-weathered thresholds have no lip and are usually used internally or in a sheltered area. They can be installed to be completely flush, however, they do not have the same high weather test results as the weathered threshold.
Safe and secure
Origin have developed an outstandingly secure and completely unique bi-folding doors system. The bi-fold exceeds the latest security standards including Pas 23/24. The unique 8 point locking system is combined with secure hinges and includes chamfered 20mm linear bolts to withstand attacks from even the most determined intruder.
One point of weakness can be the locking cylinder/barrel. At Origin, the cylinders are proven to protect against snapping, picking, drilling and bumping, offering a proven defence. This, on top of the innately robust and strong aluminium profile, makes for an ultra-secure system.
Colour choices
With over 150 RAL colours to choose from, there will be a colour to match your customer’s needs. Dual colour is also an option, allowing the exterior frame to match the building style, while the interior colour can match or contrast the inside of the property.
Configuration options
Ranging from one through to eight door sets, and door leaves anywhere between 400mm and 1200mm wide, there is a configuration available to match your customers’ requirements.
You can specify the overall size, amount of doors, configuration, internal and external colour, your preferred threshold option, whether you want the doors to open in or open out, handle style and hardware colour.
Finger safe gaskets
The doors boast finger safe gaskets to prevent fingers getting trapped when the doors are closing and magnetic catches that hold the doors in place while you operate them.
Free Glide System
The secret behind the effortless, smooth motion of the Origin bi-folding door is concealed within the bottom track. An intelligently engineered short wheelbase carriage with six wheels, manufactured from a high grade acetal, guides the doors along the track seamlessly, enabling them to open and close with ease.

The handles of an Origin Door are the perfect finishing touch. Choose from a selection of elegant handle styles. The handles strike the optimum balance between superior strength and sleek design. The handles are exhaustively cycle tested to ensure they mirror the flawless functionality of the doors and stand the test of time. Certain handle models can also be colour coordinated in any RAL colour.
