Delivery Driver/Store Person
We are looking to recruit a Delivery Driver/Store Person to join the team.
Join our team in a varied role combining delivery driving with warehouse and stores duties. You’ll be responsible for ensuring customer orders are checked, loaded securely and delivered safely and on time throughout the South West, as well as helping to manage incoming deliveries and stock within the warehouse.
You’ll be representing Exeter Trade Aluminium when dealing with customers, so we’re looking for someone who is professional, friendly and takes pride in providing a good service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Checking customer orders against delivery notes before loading
- Safely loading, securing and delivering products to customers throughout the South West
- Driving safely, reliably and courteously at all times
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Keeping the delivery vehicle clean, tidy and presentable
- Obtaining signed delivery notes and returning paperwork promptly
- Receiving incoming goods and checking deliveries against paperwork
- Reporting damaged or missing items
- Unloading, unpacking and safely storing incoming stock
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures and road safety requirements
- Working flexibly as part of the wider factory and warehouse team

What we’re looking for:
- A full, clean driving licence
- To be a safe, confident and courteous driver
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work independently to scheduled deadlines
- Good customer service and communication skills
- The ability to follow processes and Health & Safety procedures
- A reliable, organised and flexible approach
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic IT skills
- Previous experience of working with customers
- Over 25 years old to meet our vehicle insurance requirements
This is a physically demanding role, so you will also need to be comfortable with regular manual handling and be able to independently lift items weighing up to 25kg. You will be working within a factory/warehouse environment where noise levels and temperatures can vary, and PPE must be worn when required.
Desirable experience
It would be helpful, although not essential, if you have:
- Previous delivery driving experience
- Experience of safely loading and securing vehicles
- Previous warehouse, factory or similar industry experience
- An understanding of Health & Safety within a factory environment
- Forklift experience

Hours
Full-time – 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay
£13.00-£13.75 per hour depending on experience (£28,730-30,388 per year, £552.50 – £584 per week)
Location
Our Exeter factory is conveniently located at Trade City estate, Sowton, near the Park & Ride and Digby train station.
