Delivery

Terms and Conditions

Delivery is subject to availability, taking place between 08:30-15:00 and will be confirmed following the final payment.

Unloading of the glass or frames at the nominated delivery point is the responsibility of the Purchaser, and no charge will be accepted by the Supplier for this operation.

Delivery is deemed to be at the roadside of the delivery address on the order confirmation.

The Supplier will assist in the unloading of glass or frames to the edge of the delivery vehicle only.

From that point, the glass and frames become the responsibility of the Purchaser and all damage/breakages, if applicable, will be at the Purchaser’s risk.

It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ensure suitable physically able persons, PPE and lifting equipment for the size/weight of the goods will be on site to unload the products.

Information can be provided on the weights of the individual items on request before delivery.

The Supplier may refuse to deliver if, in the Supplier’s opinion, it would be unsafe to do so.

If there are any parking restrictions, the Purchaser must advise the Supplier before delivery.

If a parking permit is required, this must be available on the day of delivery.

Any meter or parking fees are to be paid by the Purchaser.

If there is no one at the delivery address at the agreed time of delivery, delivery will be rescheduled at the convenience of the Supplier, and the Purchaser will be subject to a £75.00 plus VAT charge.

It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the correct quantity of goods are checked on delivery and to acknowledge that they have been received in good condition.

If the Purchaser or agent requests that the goods be left and unsigned for, or the delivery note is marked “unchecked” at the time of delivery, the Supplier will not accept subsequent claims made in relation to the goods.

Where we estimate a delivery in advance, we will make reasonable efforts to deliver on time.

If we need to change the proposed delivery date and time, the Supplier will contact the Purchaser in advance. The Supplier reserves the right to change the delivery date at any time on notice, and the Supplier will not be liable for any costs or damages if the time agreed has to be rearranged.

Where the Purchaser collects products, all loading onto the vehicle is to be undertaken by the Purchaser. The Supplier will make the products accessible for the loading only. Able-bodied persons to load, PPE and lifting equipment for the size/weight of the goods, a suitably sized vehicle, racking, storage/protection of frames, all at the responsibility of the Purchaser.

Should any units be considered defective in line with the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) Quality of Vision document and accepted as being defective by the glass manufacturer, Exeter Trade Aluminium will provide new sealed units free of charge.

We will not offer any installation labour to replace any installed units or accept any charges for this to be undertaken by the Customer / the Customer’s installers.
