Aluminium porthole windows and sliding doors in Torquay property

This house in Torquay has been completely refurbished. The original rotting timber windows have been replace with aluminium. The shape of some of the windows have been changed to add character to the property, make the most of the views and meet the needs of the homeowner.

A 5 meter wide sliding door has been installed in the living room, with 3 panes, 2 opening and 1 fixed. A second smaller sliding door sits around the corner. Each door opens either side of the steel corner post. The steel corner post has been covered in an aluminium pressing the same colour as the doors, joining the two together. The lift and slide operation of the doors make them effortless to open.

An aluminium front door was selected for the main entrance door with a side light either side. The house number has been sandblasted into the glass, with a letter plate installed underneath.

Square casement windows have been installed throughout the house. Along with 2 round porthole windows to replace the originals.

The colour chosen for all of the windows and doors was RAL 7016 anthracite grey.
